  • Brohard Paw Park: The only dog-friendly beach in the area, this park allows dogs to run off-leash and enjoy the sand and surf. It also has picnic areas and showers for rinsing off.
  • Caspersen Beach: Known for its natural beauty and excellent shark tooth hunting.
  • Centennial Park: Located in the heart of downtown Venice, this park features a gazebo, benches, fountains, and a children’s splash pad. It’s a great spot for picnics and community events.
  • Chauncy Howard Park: A small park with shaded areas, benches, and a peaceful atmosphere, perfect for a quiet rest while exploring downtown Venice.
  • Hecksher Park: This park includes tennis courts, basketball courts, a playground, and open green spaces, making it ideal for sports and family outings.
  • Heritage Park: Running parallel to Venice Avenue, this linear park features a beautifully landscaped median with walking paths, benches, and historical markers.
  • Legacy Trail: A scenic trail for biking, running, or walking that stretches from Venice to Sarasota.
  • Maxine Barritt Park: Located near the beach, this park features walking trails, picnic areas, a lake, and a dog park. It’s a great place for leisurely walks and family gatherings.
  • Ponce De Leon Park: A small, tranquil park that offers shaded benches and a lovely view of the Intracoastal Waterway. It’s a nice spot for relaxing and watching boats pass by.
  • Service Club Park: This beachfront park provides picnic facilities, a playground, and boardwalk access to the beach. It’s an excellent location for family outings and beach activities.
  • South Jetty: Situated at the southern end of Venice Beach, the South Jetty is an ideal spot for a relaxing day by the water, whether you’re fishing, watching boats pass through the channel, or simply enjoying a beautiful sunset.
  • Venice Beach: Only one mile from downtown Venice. Enjoy yoga on the beach, sunbathing, swimming, and looking for shark teeth at this popular beach. Venice Beach has lifeguards on duty during specific hours.
  • Venice Fishing Pier: A great spot for fishing or simply enjoying the sunset.  For a delightful meal with a view, dine at Sharky’s on the Pier, where you can savor fresh seafood while overlooking the Gulf of Mexico.
  • West Blalock Park: Home to the Venice Museum & Archives and the Venice Community Center, this park offers green spaces, historic buildings, and a lovely gazebo.
